International design icon is coming to Perth

When women think of luxury shoe brands, one designer instantly springs to mind - Professor Jimmy Choo.

Now thanks to Hawaiian and The West Australian newspaper’s Fashion Agenda, the Malaysian style icon is coming to Perth on his first ever Australian visit.

Professor Jimmy Choo will open an exhibition at Claremont Quarter on Thursday, August 7 called ‘Creativity Through Skill: The Story of Professor Jimmy Choo OBE’ which tells the behind the scenes story of the man and his designs.

The exhibition will feature some of his sketches and molds; including those he did for Dianna Princess of Wales and pieces from his couture collection.

Professor Jimmy Choo will also be the guest of honour at a special Business Behind the Glamour lunch as part of his visit.

He will answer questions at the lunch with The Morning Show’s co-host Kylie Gillies and then officially open the exhibition at Claremont Quarter later on that evening.

“Hawaiian is delighted to be bringing Professor Datuk Jimmy Choo OBE to Perth with The West Australian,” CEO Russell Gibbs said.

“We’re honoured that he has chosen Perth as his first official visit to Australia and we’re sure that his many WA fans will make his visit very special indeed."

“The exhibition at Claremont Quarter is part of Hawaiian giving back to the community and we are extremely excited to be forming a relationship with the man behind such a luxury brand.”

The exhibition will continue at Claremont Quarter until August 17.
