Professor Choo at CQ

A world first exhibition of a selection of Professor Jimmy Choo’s couture shoes at Claremont Quarter saw an overwhelming response from shoppers who were wowed by the artistry behind the one-of-a-kind shoes as well as the story behind the man who created them.

The exhibition, ‘The Story of Professor Jimmy Choo: Creativity Through Skill’ opened with a VIP night on August 7 and included a sparkling guest list of Perth’s A-list from business, retail and media circles, who enjoyed cocktails, champagne and canapés, catered by head chef, Joji Iwama, of Cable Beach Club Resort & Spa.

It followed on from a sold out luncheon at Crown Perth, as part of Hawaiian’s partnership with The West Australian and its Fashion Agenda event series. Guests took notes as InStyle magazine editor, Kirsten Galliot shared her top five fashion rules, followed by a candid interview by The Morning Show co-host Kylie Gillies with the guest of honour and fashion icon, Professor Jimmy Choo OBE.

Hawaiian Director and CEO Russell Gibbs said the exhibition and bringing Professor Choo to Australia for the first time was a big coup for the WA based property group.

“We were honoured that Professor Choo chose Perth as his first official visit to Australia and we were very proud to have partnered with The West Australian to bring the people of Perth this exhibition,” Mr Gibbs said.

“We hope it’s the start of a long and successful relationship with Professor Choo.

“Bringing these once in a lifetime experiences to Perth is what sets Hawaiian apart as more than a property group.”
