Happy Lunar New Year

It's Lunar New Year and each year cities erupt in colour, spectacle and wonder as the Lunar New Year festivities begin.
This year we’re celebrating the Year of the Tiger in our own way.
DUE TO UNCONTROLLABLE COVID CIRCUMSTANCES, we regrettably have to cancel the Dim Sum and Bubbles event (Tuesday, 1 Feb) followed by a Traditional Lion Dance.
What is Lunar New Year?
Lunar New Year marks the turn of the Lunar calendar – a momentous occasion in many Asian cultures and traditionally celebrated with great significance over a few weeks with friends, family and guests. The holiday falls on a different date every year and is filled with colour, fire displays and traditional performances and artistry.
This year is the year of the Tiger and in Chinese culture, those born in the year of the Tiger are vigorous and ambitious, daring and courageous, enthusiastic and generous, self-confident with a sense of justice and a commitment to help others for the greater good.
Lucky Things for Tigers:
Lucky colours: blue and green
Lucky numbers: 1,3 and 7
Lucky flower: plum blossom
Lucky direction: North
But... make sure you stay away from the unlucky colour of white and the unlucky numbers 4 and 9.
This year will also be a Water element year. Out of all of the Chinese zodiac elements, Water has the greatest connection to emotions. Water is connected to sensitivity, creativity, being impressionable, but don’t forget water is also an extremely powerful natural force. It’s the strongest element—even stronger than fire—because it can go around any obstacle in its path and not lose its essential nature.
