What is Taichi & Qigong:
Qigong is a system of knowledge that dates back over 5000 years and encompasses the repair, support and maintenance of the body, mind and spirit.
Traditionally, Qigong is a series of short movements combined with breathwork and 'intention' (or mindfulness), to achieve a number of benefits. Both Taichi and Qigong share the same internal concepts, although Taichi traditionally is represented by a longer series of movements.
There are many systems of Taichi and Qigong available and this 'Journey to Wellness' series is based on the Taoist exercises that harmonise the body, breath and mind. We also pay attention to interplay with sports science and neuroscience to provide a deeper understanding of traditional concepts, for improved results in our modern world, that we can incorporate in our day to day lives, inside and outside of work.
